Called to serve as a trainer!

Good morning all!

It's been a crazy first transfer in the Washington Yakima Mission! I have been serving with Elder Jeffs in the Rocky Reach ward in Wenantchee as a District leader! It has definitely been an adjustment being part of the start of a new mission with a new President and area but I am loving it.

We received some news and new changes from President Lewis this week for transfers! I have been called to serve as a trainer and I will receive a greenie from the MTC! I will also continue to serve as a District leader over my companion and 2 sister companionships. Elder Jeffs will be transferred to a spanish area in a Zebra companionship (1 English, 1 spanish). He doesn't speak anything other than mild Arizona spanish that he's picked up while living in the valley so he's super confused but excited for his new area!  It will be sad when Elder Jeffs leaves but I am excited for this opportunity to train a new Elder! It will be a great learning experience and I can't wait for the miracles we will see together. This is the training zone! Literally everyone has a greenie except the zone leaders haha! Crazy stuff!

We had a great first lesson with an investigator named 'K'. He is on date for baptism and has been coming to church for awhile. He will be moving back to Oklahoma next month but we will make sure missionaries contact him there. He loves the church and has been coming with some recent converts in our ward while he spent the summer here. We also had a lesson with a man named 'S' this week who was referred to us by members and we are teaching him in their home. He is a great guy. He is very knowledgeable and has loved the things we shared with him about the Restoration. He will be on date for baptism soon!

Hope you have a great week! Remember the Savior. He will help you when you need him! I know that He lives and loves each one of us.

Love,
Elder Brinkerhoff
